Translating Lexique Pro

Lexique Pro's user interface can be translated into other languages.

To do this:

1. Email Lexique Pro development for the most recent version of the translation file for the language (.po).

2. If you haven't done so already, download and install the PoEdit software from www.poedit.net

3. Open the .po file in PoEdit and translate the strings.

4. Save the .po file. A corresponding complied .mo file will be created.

5. Change the name of the .mo file to lexiquepro.mo.

6. Copy this lexiquepro.mo file to the folder C:\Program Files\SIL\Lexique Pro\bin\locale\xy\LC_MESSAGES where xy is the locale code for the language, e.g. fr for French, es for Spanish, pt for Portuguese, etc.

7. Run Lexique Pro and view your translations.

8. Send the edited .po file to Lexique Pro Support to be considered for integration into the next release of the software.
